Delorme Bible Church

Sharing the Gospel in the heart of Hatfield and McCoy territory

An Open Invitation to You

Come Be Our Guest

Delorme Bible Church is a fundamental, independent, soulwinning, missions minded, King James Bible church.  We are a friendly, family-oriented church that desires to reach our community and the world for the Lord Jesus and see lives changed for the glory of God.

If you're looking for a home church or you're visiting the Hatfield and McCoy area to ride the trails or see the feud sites and the beauty in these mountains we call home, we would love for you to visit with us at any of our services or special events.  We'll even come pick you up if you need a ride or your group can ride right in on your ATVs!

We are located on HWY 49 just south of Matewan at the Kentucky state line.

We offer age specific Sunday School classes and Children's Church for children under the age of 12 during our Sunday Morning Worship service.

Pastor Steve & Mrs. Shereena Spurlock

Pastor Steve became our pastor in June 2016 while he was pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church just 6 miles away in Phelps, KY.  When Delorme Bible Church voted on Pastor Steve, we also voted to merge churches with Faith Missionary Baptist.  Pastor Steve was ordained into the Gospel ministry at Victory Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY.

Area Highlights

  • The town of Delorme actually also goes by the name of Edgarton.  Most maps will show Delorme as the name of our town, but the US Postal Service goes by Edgarton.  The name Delorme comes from an old train depot that no longer exists.
  • We are right in the heart of Hatfield and McCoy territory!  Many of the feud sites are right outside our doors!  In fact, Devil Anse Hatfield used to own the property Delorme Bible Church sits on as part of a 5000 acre tract of land and ran a tack shop and mercantile store here on the state line.  Along with historic feud sites on both sides of the Tug Fork River, we are close to the Hatfield McCoy Trail System and the Buffalo Mountain, Devil Anse, and Rockhouse Trailheads, downtown historic Matewan, the Mine Wars Museum, and King Coal Highway.
